Hindi Pakhwada concludes at Passport Office Srinagar
Srinagar, Oct 1: The Passport Office in Srinagar successfully concluded its Hindi Pakhwada celebrations held from September 14 to 28, 2025.
The fortnight-long programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from staff and highlighted a collective commitment to the promotion of Rashtriya Bhasha Hindi.
The celebrations featured a range of activities aimed at encouraging the use of Hindi in official work and daily communication.
Events included Hindi noting and drafting exercises, quiz contests, and poetry recitations, all conducted in Hindi.
According to officials, the active involvement of staff at all levels reflected their growing interest and pride in the national language.
Winners and participants of various events were felicitated with certificates and awards in recognition of their efforts, with an aim to inspire continued use of Hindi in official correspondence.
The programme concluded on a high note, instilling a renewed sense of linguistic pride and unity among the staff.
At the closing ceremony, Regional Passport Officer Srinagar, B S Rawat, appreciated the sincere participation of the employees and emphasised the importance of Hindi as a unifying force in the country.
He expressed hope that such programmes would continue to be organised regularly, further strengthening the presence of Hindi in administrative functioning.
