High Court to observe winter vacations from Jan 1 to 27

Srinagar, Dec 19: The High Court of J&K and Ladakh Tuesday announced its winter vacation and would observe the vacations from January 1 to 27, 2024.

“It is hereby notified that the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will observe Winter Vacations from January 1, 2024, to January 27, 2024 (both days inclusive),” reads an order issued by Registrar
General, Shahzad Azeem.

The order says that the period commencing from January 1 to 6, 2024, should be no work period for the High Court.

According to the order, the Chief Justice has nominated Judges (vacation judges) for both wings of the High Court to hear all matters of urgent nature for the vacation period.

For the Jammu wing, Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal would hear the urgent matters from January 8 to 17, and Justice Rajesh Sekhri from January 18 to 27.

For the Srinagar wing, Justice Rahul Bharti would hear the urgent matters from January 8 to 17 and Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi from January 18 to 27.
