Srinagar, Jan 14: The Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court Cricket Team stormed into the final of the inaugural All India High Court Employees Federation T-20 Cricket Tournament after finishing as table toppers with an unbeaten record in the league stage.

The tournament, as per a statement issued, is currently being held at Hyderabad.

In a thrilling league encounter, the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh team defeated the Gujarat High Court Cricket Team by a convincing margin of 31 runs. Batting first, the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh team posted an impressive total of 188 runs for 7 wickets. While chasing the target, the Gujarat High Court team could manage 157 runs for 5 wickets at the end of the allotted 20 overs.

Displaying remarkable consistency and team spirit, the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court Cricket Team won all their league matches, finishing as table toppers, and thereby qualified directly for the final of the tournament.

The semi-final match, scheduled to be played on 15 January 2026, will witness an exciting contest between the Bombay High Court Cricket Team and the Gujarat High Court Cricket Team, who secured the second and third positions respectively in the group stage.

The tournament is being successfully organized by the All India High Court Employees Federation, in collaboration with the Service Association, High Court of Telangana. This historic event marks the first-ever inaugural All India High Court Employees Federation T-20 Cricket Tournament.

The tournament was inaugurated on 12 January 2026 by Justice B. Vijay Sen Reddy, Chairman of the Sports Committee, High Court of Telangana, in the esteemed presence of Justice K. Sharath, Member of the Sports Committee. The grand final is scheduled to be played on 16 January 2026 between the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court Cricket Team and the winner of the semi-final match.

Throughout the tournament, all participating teams have demonstrated exemplary discipline, unity, sportsmanship, and mutual respect, truly upholding the sanctity, unity, and integrity of the sacred institution of the judiciary. The event stands as a celebration of camaraderie, healthy competition, and national integration through sports.
