Hidyattulah elected VC AIPEF
Srinagar, Mar 16: Er Pirzada Hidayatullah, General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA), has been elected as the new Vice Chairman of the All India Power Engineers Federation (AIPEF).
The elections were held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, with engineering associations from across the country participating in the process.
The AIPEF is a registered body under the Societies Registration Act of 1860, representing power engineers working in utilities under the central and state governments in India. The federation facilitates discussions and exchanges views on policy matters concerning the power sector nationwide.
According to the handout, Hidayatullah's election to this prestigious national post is being hailed as a significant achievement for the power engineering fraternity in Jammu and Kashmir. His colleagues have congratulated him and expressed hope that he will effectively raise and resolve the genuine issues faced by power engineers in the region.
The AIPEF provides feedback to the Government of India and state governments on the impact of various technical, commercial, and administrative guidelines formulated for the power sector. With over three decades of experience, Hidayatullah is expected to leverage his expertise to voice the concerns of power engineers across the country effectively.
Established in 1993 and headquartered in New Delhi, the AIPEF comprises state and union territory-level associations representing power engineers. It serves as a representative body championing the causes of power sector professionals and promoting the growth of the power industry in India.
