Hideout busted in Reasi, arms recovered

Srinagar, April 13: A terrorist hideout was busted after police and Army conducted a joint operation in the Lancha area of Shajroo, within the Mahore sub-division of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said today.

Acting on credible intelligence indicating the presence of a hideout in the region, security forces launched the operation aimed at sanitizing the area and rooting out any terrorist activity.
During the search and cordon operation, a substantial cache of arms and ammunition was unearthed from the hideout.

The recovered items include two Tiffin IEDs equipped with electric detonators, two pistols along with their magazines, a total of 19 pistol rounds, approximately 400 grams of explosive powder, 40 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, four photographs of sensitive locations, five rounds of Sixer Pistol ammunition, an electric detonator, six 9-volt DC batteries, two 12-volt lithium-ion batteries, two bundles of electric wire totaling approximately 40 meters, around 5 meters of plastic rope, a steel plate, a steel glass, one bag, and three torn bedsheets.
