Hezbollah pager explosion wounds hundreds

New Delhi, Sep 17: Reuters news agency reported that hundreds of members of the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, and medics, were seriously wounded on Tuesday when their pagers exploded, a security source told Reuters.

A Hezbollah official, speaking anonymously, described the incident as the “biggest security breach” the group has experienced in nearly a year of conflict with Israel.

The explosions occurred amidst escalating violence between Israel and Hezbollah, who have been engaged in intense cross-border fighting since the outbreak of the Gaza conflict last October.
