Budgam, Dec 11: In a significant initiative aimed at promoting legal literacy and amicable dispute resolution, the District Judiciary Budgam and the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Budgam inaugurated a help desk for the general public ahead of the upcoming National Lok Adalat, scheduled for December 14.

The inauguration ceremony was held under the guidance of Om Prakash Bhagat, Chairman DLSA Budgam and Principal District & Sessions Judge Budgam, and under the supervision of Nusrat Ali Hakak, Sub-Judge/Secretary of DLSA Budgam

The Help Desk has been strategically established at the Lawns of ADR Center District Court Complex, Budgam, and is staffed by para-legal volunteers (PLVs) of DLSA Budgam. The Help Desk is designed to offer technical and procedural support to litigants and the general public. It will remain operational until 14th December providing information and guidance to encourage participation in resolving disputes amicably.

Om Prakash Bhagat, Chairman DLSA Budgam, inaugurated the Help desk in the presence of the learned judicial officers of the District Court Budgam. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in bridging the gap between the judiciary and the public.

The Help Desk also aims to support the ongoing pre-Lok Adalat sessions, which commenced on 1st Decemberand will continue until 14th December.
