Heavy security arrangements in place for Mahakumbh at Prayagraj
New Delhi, Jan 9: In preparation for the upcoming Mahakumbh and to ensure the safety of devotees, a robust and impenetrable security “Chakravyuh” has been established around Prayagraj under the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Seven key routes connecting Prayagraj and adjoining districts have been fortified with 102 checkpoints for thoroughly screening vehicles and individuals.
This extensive security deployment involves 1,026 personnel, including 71 inspectors, 234 sub-inspectors, 645 constables and head constables, 76 women constables, 113 home guards/PRD jawans, and three PAC sections.
Additionally, five Vajra vehicles, 10 drones, and four anti-sabotage teams are conducting round-the-clock surveillance to ensure seamless security operations.
