Heavy rains increase level of water bodies in Rajouri

Rajouri, Jul 16: The incessant rainfall since Wednesday morning has led to an increase in water level in the streams and rivers of Rajouri district.

The water levels have risen significantly, posing a threat to the surrounding areas with police has also issued advisory asking people to stay away from water bodies.

As per the reports, continuous rainfall of medium intensity hit the areas of Rajouri district on Wednesday causing a significant rice in water level of rivers especially the Suktoh river.

Authorities have issued a warning, advising people to stay away from water bodies to avoid any potential danger. The situation is being closely monitored, and necessary precautions are being taken to ensure public safety, officials said. Residents are urged to exercise caution and follow the instructions to avoid any untoward incidents.
