Srinagar, July 16: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Wednesday predicted heavy rains across Jammu and Kashmir, possibly triggering flash floods, landslides, and shooting stones at vulnerable places over the next eight days, from July 16 to 23.

As per the forecast, Jammu and Kashmir on 18 to 20 July is expected to receive intermittent spells of light to moderate Rain/thundershower at many places with intense showers at few places with heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places of J&K.

On 18 to 20 July, there will be spells of light to moderate rain/thundershower at scattered to fairly widespread places. On 21 to 23 July, weather is predicted to remain generally cloudy with intermittent spells of light to moderate rain/thundershower at many places with intense showers at few places with heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places of J&K.

Meteorological Centre Srinagar, in its advisory issued on Wednesday, cautioned the people that possibility of intense showers in J&K during 16-17 & 21-23rd July could trigger flash floods, landslides/mudslides & shooting stones at few vulnerable places.
