Heavy rainfall damages several houses at Loran

Mandi (Poonch), Apr 18:  Heavy rainfall for two consecutive days has damaged several houses at Loran in Poonch.

People have appealed for providing compensation to the victim families.

Locals said that during rainfall in last two days, many structures have been damaged making a few of those unsafe for living.

They said that these structures are located in Brachar, Chakri Ban, Lohal Bela and Tantray Gam.

Among the damaged structures, portions of three of these have collapsed and these belong to Abdul Ahad son of Wali Jo resident of Chakri Ban, Fareeda Begum wife of Qamar Din resident of Brachar and Mohammad Quyoom son of Bashir Ahmed resident of Tantray Gam.

The local population has requested the administration to constitute a loss assessment team and to access the losses to provide necessary relief for the victim families.
