Health department organises health screening, awareness camps in Doda
Doda, Sep 25: On the 9th day of the ongoing “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” campaign, the Health Department Doda, under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Dr Om Kumar, organised a series of health screening-cum-awareness camps across different locations of the district on Thursday.
As per an official statement, the camps aimed to provide quality healthcare services to people in far-flung and underserved areas, with special focus on women’s health, maternal and child care, preventive healthcare and community awareness.
The activities included ANC services, general health check-ups, NCD and Hb screening, along with awareness sessions on health, hygiene and menstrual hygiene. Free medicines were also distributed among the beneficiaries.
The camps were held at Village Zadan, Rajpura Gandoh, Bhella Thathri and GHSS Gundna (Ghat), ensuring wider community participation and outreach, and were closely monitored and supervised by concerned Block Medical Officers.
