HCI extends last date for submitting advance Hajj amount

Srinagar, Feb 9: The Hajj Committee of India (HCI) Friday extended the last date for deposit of advance Hajj amount until February 15.

The step has been taken against the backdrop of the representations and requests received from State Hajj Committees, various organisations, and individuals.

A circular issued by the Hajj Committee of India said that the advance Hajj amount of Rs 81,800 by the provisionally selected pilgrims of Hajj-2024 was to be deposited by February 9, 2024.

“After representations and requests received from State Hajj Committees, various organisations, and individuals to extend the date for depositing the advance Hajj amount, the HCI extended the last date for depositing the advance Hajj amount up to 11:59 pm on February 15, 2024,” the circular reads. “After depositing the advance Hajj amount, the provisionally selected pilgrims should submit documents including Hajj Application Form (HAF), solemn declaration and undertaking, a copy of the pay-in-slip or online receipt, and Medical Screening and Fitness Certificate as per the format available on the website hajcommittee.gov.in, and original international machine-readable passports to the concerned State and UT Hajj Committees on or before February 19, 2024.”

The HCI has also requested the pilgrims to strictly adhere to the stipulated last date for the deposit of advance Hajj amount and submission of documents to the concerned State Hajj Committee failing which their Hajj seat would be cancelled.
