HC to organise reading Preamble to Constitution
Srinagar, Nov 25: To commemorate the adoption of the constitution, the High Court of J&K and Ladakh Monday ordered that reading of the Preamble to the Constitution would be organised at HC's both wings as well as all district courts at 10:30 am on Tuesday.
“November 26 is celebrated as Constitution Day. To commemorate the adoption of the constitution, the reading of the Preamble to the Constitution will be organised at 10:30 am sharp on Tuesday in both wings of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as well as in all court complexes of all districts of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh,” Registrar General Shahzad Azeem said in an order.
According to the order, the available senior judge at each wing of the High Court would lead the reading of the Preamble to the Constitution, whereas, the Principal District Judges would lead the same at their respective district headquarters. The senior-most Judicial Officer would lead the reading of the Preamble at Taluka Court.
The order underscores that the Registrar Judicial, High Court Wing Srinagar and Jammu, would make all the necessary arrangements for holding the ceremony of reading the Preamble to the Constitution in their respective Wings.
