Residents said that they have been deprived of health services since decades. “Our village comprises more than 200 households and for a small ailment patients are forced to approach sub district hospital Kralpora by commuting several kilometers. We have been demanding a health sub centre in our locality so that the patients may get respite and they need not have to travel a long distance but every dispensation turned deaf ears towards our pleas,” said a local.

“Erratic power cuts have literally turned our life hell. We don’t know why there is so much injustice to us in terms of unsubstantial electricity,” said a student of the area. Locals also complained about decaying electric wooden poles which pose a threat to the inhabitants.
