The promising Wushu player has so far bagged an impressive tally of twelve gold and three silver medals in various championships held in different parts of the country.
Speaking to Greater Kashmir, Mahreen expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army’s 21 Rashtriya Rifles (21 RR) for sponsoring her participation in last year’s national championships. “I am thankful to the Indian Army’s 21 RR for their continued support and encouragement. Their sponsorship last year played a key role in my success," she said.
Mahreen's dedication and performance continue to inspire young female athletes in the area. “I am of the opinion that girls should not only learn karate for self-defence, but it can also be a better career prospect. Now girls approach and take suggestions from me pertaining to it, which really gives me a sense of joy,” she added.

“I am really thankful to my coach and parents, who always stood by my side, making me able to represent the country and my area at the national level," she told Greater Kashmir.
