Handwara to get district status, women's college: Chowdhary Ramzan
Kupwara, Sep 20: NC senior leader and contesting candidate for Handwara assembly segment Chowdhary Ramzan Friday reiterated that Handwara would be developed as district if he is voted to power.
He was addressing a press conference at Handwara during which he revealed his aims and intentions to address local issues and contribute positively to the future of Handwara constituency.
Ramzan said that a Sub District Hospital would be set up in Ramhall area following his entry to assembly. He said that Munsif courts would be established at Ramhall and Rajwar area after his win.
He said that a campus of Kashmir University and Central University will be established at Degree College Handwara for the larger interest of students.
Ramzan said that as promised by NC upto 200 electricity units would be given free to each subscriber. "Since Ramhall, Rajwar and other areas of Handwara constituency are grappling with lack of water, so my endeavor would be to provide tap water to every household," he added.
He said that during his last stint as MLA, eleven kanals of land were demarcated for construction of Women's college but nothing was done with regard to construction of the said project by his successor. He said that he will make sure to come up with a women's college in Handwara.
Chowdhary appealed people of Handwara constituency to distinguish between right and wrong. He said, people have realized that NC was the only political party which can fight for the rights of people. "People have realized that National Conference will form the next government so people in large number were getting associated with the party," he said.
He hoped that people across the length and breadth of Handwara constituency will come out in large number to vote in his favor so that a new chapter of development was written for Handwara.
