Handwara court issues proclamation notice to 51 accused

Kupwara, Dec 30: A proclamation notice was issued on Saturday by Additional Sessions Court Handwara against 51 accused persons wanted in a case from the year 2011.

According to an official communiqué, Station House Officer (SHO) Kralgund has sought issuance of proclamation against the accused persons in FIR 73/2011 allegedly involved in the offences 2/3 EMICO Act, 121-A RPC. Despite a non-bailable warrant issued by the court of CJM Handwara to compel the attendance of the accused persons, the warrant could not be executed because the accused persons could not be found.

The court has as such issued a proclamation against the fifty-one accused and directed them to appear in the court by or before February 2, 2024.
