Hakeem Yaseen opposes bill

Srinagar, Sep 12: Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) and party candidate for Khansahib assembly constituency, Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has strongly opposed Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 , terming it arbitrary interference in the religious affairs of Muslim minority community .

According to a press release, he  was addressing a public rally at Parnewa in Khansahib constituency , after culmination of a election road show.

Hakeem Yaseen cautioned the BJP led central government about the brewing  resentment among the Muslim community over the proposed Waqf board amendment bill adding that the bill was aimed at to snatch Waqf property from the Muslim community.

He said PDF will oppose any such conspiracy to usurp the fundamental rights of minorities in the country.

PDF Chairman also reiterated his resolve to fight for restoration of the constitutional rights of the  people of Jammu and Kashmir which have been usurped post Aughust 5 , 2019. He said every sinister game plan to change the special demographic character of Jammu and Kashmir would be fought with stiff resistance from the PDF.
