Hakeem Yaseen demands KCC loan waiver
Srinagar, Oct 27: President of the People’s Democratic Front (PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Monday alleged the government of “its continued failure to address pressing public issues, despite receiving a clear mandate from the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
Drawing attention to the plight of farmers and fruit growers, Yaseen said they are reeling under economic distress due to mounting debts. “The government should immediately waive off Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loans to help farmers recover and sustain their livelihoods,” he urged.
The PDF President further said that unemployment has touched alarming levels in the Kashmir Valley and called for the creation of new posts and livelihood opportunities for the youth. “The government has completely failed to address the unemployment crisis, leaving thousands of educated youth frustrated,” he added.
