Srinagar, Aug 19: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front (J&K PDF)and former Minister , Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has urged the government to sanction a degree college and Sub District Hospital SDH for backward area Khag in central kashmir Budgam.

He has also demanded to declare Khag as a backward area, a press release said.

Speaking at one day PDF workers convention in Khag in Khansahib constituency on Monday , Hakeem Yaseen said that Khag area is educationally , economically and socially a backward area where people do not have adequate drinking water , power and road connectivity facilities. He said youth of area were in dire need of a government degree college to persue their studies.

He also highlighted the need for a SDH at khag to provide medical facilities to the patients of the area. He has urged the government to complete Khag - Drang - Tossamaidan road on fast track basis to give boost to economic and tourist activities in the area.

Yaseen has also demanded completion of Mirgund - Arizal road on fast track basis adding that the road would provide connectivity to about 50 villages. He said these roads have immense public importance and needed to be completed befor the onset of winter.

PDF Chairman has asked the people not to get swayed by emotional slogans of traditional regional political parties but vote for capable and dedicated candidates who could represent their urges and aspirations deligently in the upcoming J&K assembly. He assured the people that PDF will vociferously raise issues for the overall development of Khag area in the upcoming legislative assembly .
