Hafiz Bagh residents decry dilapidated roads

Srinagar, Jul 1: Residents of Hafiz Bagh area of Illahi Bagh on the city outskirts have decried dilapidated roads in the locality.

A delegation of residents said that in the absence of repairs, the roads in the locality have caved in and developed potholes. During rains, the road gets waterlogged due to an uneven surface. We face immense problems to venture out,” they said.

“Many residents in our area got injured after skidding due to the uneven surface. Our vehicles have also been damaged due to potholes,” they added.

They said while roads in adjoining localities were macadamised, their area has been neglected. “We make a fervent appeal to MLA Hazratbal Salman Sagar to direct the concerned officials to undertake immediate repairs and macadamisation,” they added.
