GVEI students shine at 24th National Sqay Championship

Srinagar, Jan 7: In a remarkable feat, students from Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) in Srinagar showcased their prowess at the 24th National Sqay Championship 2023-2024 AAG, securing top honours and making their mark in the field of martial arts.

The prestigious championship, conducted under the auspices of the Sqay Association of Rajasthan and the Sqay Federation of India, unfolded at Gyan Vihar University in Jaipur, Rajasthan, spanning from January 4 to 6, 2024.

Representing the Jammu and Kashmir Sqay Association on the national stage, the Green Valley quartet displayed exceptional talent in the traditional martial art of Sqay, earning accolades and recognition.

Rimsha Riyaz emerged as a standout performer, clinching the gold medal in the senior category event. Soliha Mushtaq showcased her skills to bag the silver medal, while Jannat exhibited commendable prowess to secure a Bronze medal in the junior and sub-junior categories, respectively.

The triumph of GVEI students at the 24th National Sqay Championship not only reflects their dedication and skill but also brings laurels to the educational institution and the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
