Srinagar, Aug 19: Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) students demonstrated exceptional performance in the recent U-17 and U-19 cycling race, organised by the District Youth Services and Sports Officer.

The event, part of the 2024-2025 sports calendar, highlighted the institute's commitment to fostering athletic excellence alongside academic achievement.

The race, held on August 17 for boys and August 19 for girls, followed a challenging route from Habak near PHC to Nishat Garden. In the boys' category, Mohammad Ahmad and Aneef Makhdoomi, both from Class 9, secured 6th and 19th positions respectively. The girls' category saw a standout performance from Soliha Zahoor of Class 11, who clinched the Gold Medal in the Under-19 category at the zonal level.

Notable attendees included ZPEO Amira Kadal Doast Mohammad, ZPEO Ranawari Muzafar, and ZPEO Gulabagh Shabir Ahmed.
