GVEI student bags 1st position in essay writing competition

Srinagar, Nov 1: Sheikh Fatima, a student of Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI), achieved a remarkable feat by clinching the first position in the intra-district-level essay writing competition centered on the theme of ‘Badalta Kashmir’.
A statement of GVEI issued here said that the competition was held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kothi Bagh on October 28, 2023, while the felicitation of toppers was done during an event organised for the UT Foundation Day, which took place at S P Higher Secondary School in Srinagar on Tuesday.
Project Director Samagra Shiksha J&K Deep Raj was the chief guest on the occasion while the Director of School Education Kashmir, Tasaduq Hussain Mir was the guest of honour at the function.
Chief Education Officer (CEO) Srinagar and Principal S P Higher Secondary School were also present on the occasion.
The celebration was not limited to the felicitation of Sheikh Fatima alone.
It also featured a diverse array of entertaining programmes presented by students.
During the function, many entertaining programmes including Dogri dance, Qawali, and Mushaira were presented by the students.
The felicitation of students who participated in the painting, poetry, and essay writing competition on ‘Badalta Kashmir’ was also done during the function.
The toppers from all other districts were felicitated as well.
