Gunfight erupts in Srinagar’s Zabarwan forests: Police
Srinagar, Nov 10: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in the Zabarwan forests in Srinagar, officials said Sunday morning.
A top cop of police said that a joint team of security forces launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.

Joint operation was launched by army and police during late night hours and contact was established this morning.
The gunbattle broke out around 9 am in the forest area connecting Dachigam and upper reaches of Nishat area here, news agency PTI reported.
“Two to three foreign terrorists are trapped, and heavy firing is going on,” a police official told GK.
Two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
