Gujarat couple gets married at -25°C in Himachal Pradesh’s Spiti Valley, draws wide attention of netizens

Srinagar, Mar 01: A video of a Gujarati couple tying the knot in the snow-capped Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh has caught the internet’s attention. The viral video shows the couple getting married and shivering due to the biting cold.

The video shared by Ajay Banyal, Assistant Public Relations Office in the Himachal government captured the ‘one of its kind’ wedding amidst the breathtaking view. The bride can be seen posing in a car and hugging her groom under the wedding mandap.

The caption read, “A marriage like this too! A loving couple from Gujarat, due to the stubbornness of their girlfriend, reached Spiti and then decorated the pavilion in minus 25 degree temperature, this is a first of its kind case. A unique marriage took place today in Murang, Spiti. This is an example of destination wedding," reports The Indian Express.

Another video from the wedding was shared by Go Himachal on X. The video showed the couple’s folks helping the bride and the groom wear gloves after the wedding rituals. The video ends with the bride driving a red car adorned with flowers and leaving the venue with her groom.

The video did not go unnoticed by social media users who reacted to it. While a section of users called it ‘overacting’, others congratulated the couple. A user wrote, “I hope they have cleared and cleaned everything after their Drama.” Another user wrote, “Shadi and honeymoon done.”
