GPS tracking device affixed on bailed-out terror associate in Baramulla

Srinagar, May 29: In compliance with an order received from the court, Police in Baramulla Wednesday affixed a GPS tracking device on an under-trial terror associate who was enlarged on bail in a UA(P) Act case of Police Station Uri.

A statement of the J&K Police issued here said that the accused was arrested in case FIR No 104/2023 under Sections 13, 18, 18B, 20, 23, 40 of the UA(P) Act, 120 B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), 7/25 of the Arms Act of Police Station Uri and has been enlarged bail by the court.

The GPS anklet would be used to monitor his movement and ensure that he does not violate the bail conditions.
