Govt to hold discussion on budget proposals from Nov 27

Srinagar, Nov 20: The J&K Govt has scheduled discussions on budget proposals of Revised Estimates 2024-25 and Budget Estimates 2025-26 from Nov 27, 2024.

The discussion will be held under Revenue and Capital Components including CSS, PMDP, and Loan component.

“The departments are advised to furnish Action Taken Reports (ATRs) on the budget announcements, if any, besides complete details of Establishment Budget and FRBM to the Finance Department much ahead of the scheduled date of discussion,” reads an official communication signed by Joint Director Budgets, Finance Department.

“The department shall also furnish PPT regarding data on staffing (sanctioned, in place, contractual), trends of scheme-wise revenue and capital expenditure, revenue receipts (over the last 5 years and scope for enhancement of receipts).

The details of major projects or initiatives, the total liability of ongoing projects besides also incorporate achievements against deliverables and next year’s key features with output and outcome and targets (both in soft and hard copy),” the communication reads.

It reads that the departments should call only those officers to participate in their respective budget meetings in the Finance Department as are felt necessary.

“The Heads of the Departments stationed at Srinagar should participate through video conferencing from the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar,” it reads.
