Govt teacher dies after being hit by car in Rajouri’s Kotranka

Rajouri, Sep 17: A government school teacher was killed Wednesday evening after being hit by a car on the Kotranka–Budhal road in Rajouri district, officials said.

As per the officials, the victim, identified as Mohammad Azam, son of Mohammad Din and a resident of Draj Patali in Kotranka, was first taken to a local civil hospital in critical condition and later referred to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The body of the deceased was later handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.

Police said a case has been registered under relevant sections of law, and an investigation has been initiated.
