Govt revises DA of pensioners, family pensioners

Srinagar, Oct 17: The J&K Finance Department on Thursday revised the Dearness Allowance (DA) of the government pensioners and family pensioners.

As per the order issued here, the arrears have been revised from 230 percent of the Basic Pension to 239 percent of the Basic Pension.

“The arrears on account of additional instalment of DA from January 2024 to September 2024 will be paid in cash in the month of October 2024 and will form part of the monthly pension and family pension from October 2024 onward,” the order reads.

It further reads that the payment on account of Dearness Allowance involving a fraction of 50 paisa and above will be rounded to the next higher rupee and the fraction of less than 50 paisa will be ignored.
