Govt promotes five Deputy Superintendents of Police to Superintendents in J&K

Srinagar, Aug 18: The Jammu and Kashmir government today ordered the promotion of five Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).

According to a government order, the promotions were sanctioned based on recommendations and are effective immediately. The promotions were issued by order of the Lieutenant Governor.

The newly promoted Superintendents of Police are, Owais Rashid, KPS125679; Sarfaraz Bashir Ganai, KPS125839; Gh Mustafa Bhat, KPS125740; Shahzada Kabir Mattoo, KPS125843; and
Ashish Gupta, KPS125815, it reads.

The order also specified that the promotions are subject to the outcome of any pending writ petitions or other legal proceedings.

The promotions were sanctioned by Principal Secretary to the Government, Chandraker Bharti. (KNC)
