Govt orders suspension of 1999-batch police officer with immediate effect

Srinagar, Sep 06: Government of Jammu & Kashmir Friday ordered suspension of 1999- batch police officer Fayaz Ahmad Lone with immediate effect, and attached him with Police Headquarters till period of suspension.

An order issued by Principal Secretary to the Government, Department of Home J&K reads, “In terms of Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956 and pending enquiry into his conduct, Shri Fayaz Ahmad Lone, (JKPS-1999), SSP, Staff Officer to IGP AP/IR Kashmir is hereby placed under suspension, with immediate effect”.

The order further reads that the officer shall remain attached with Police Headquarters, J&K, during the period of suspension.
