Govt orders regularisation, promotion of 59 Dy SPs as SP

Srinagar, Dec 3: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday ordered regularistion/ promotion of 59 Deputy Superintendents of Police as Superintendent of Police (SP).

The order in this regard has been issued by the J&K Home Department. "Sanction is hereby accorded to the regularisation/promotion of Deputy SPs as SPs Level 11 (67700-2028700) of Pay matrix," the government order reads.

As per the order, the promotion/regularisation of the officers shall be subject to the outcome of any writ petition, if any, pending before any competent Court of law or any oreder already passed, "But not brought into the notice of the Departmental Promotiom Committee."

The officers who have been granted promotion/ regularisation include Prithpal Singh, Arun Kumar, Noor Ul Hassan, Sunil Kumar Kesar, Pranav Mahajan, Ashok Sharma, Prithpal Singh, Zaheer Abbas, Shafat Mohd Najar, Fayaz Hussain Shah, Zafar lgbal Nawaz, Bashir Ahmad, Mir Murtaza Hussain Sohil, Iftikhar Ahmed.

The other officers included in the list are Syed Javeed Ahmad, Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad, Nisar Ahmad, Mohd Irfan Khan, Aumer lqbal, Syed Sajad Hussain, Mumtaz Ali, Regzin Sandup, Shivali Kotwal, Arvnider Singh Kotwal, Altaf Ahmad Naik, Wajahat Hussain, Mohd Muzaffar Jan, Ishtyaq Ahmad Kacho, Mohd Shafiq, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, Rashid Younis, Rajinder Singh, Mohd Shafi Sheikh, Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and Mohd Aslam.

The government has also ordered promotion in favour of Chhabil Singh, Mohan Lal, Mohd Aftab Awan, Farooq Ahmad Wani, Mohammad Usman, Nawaz Ahmad, Govind Rattan, Bikram Kumar, Garu Ram, Nihar Ranjan, Fahim Ali and Rameez Rashid.

The other officers figuring in the promotion list are Abid Rashid Mir, Mohammad Saleem Bhat, Shivender Singh Jamwal, Rameez Raja, Nilthil Rasgotra, Amit Kumar Sharma, Mubashir Rasool, Ravinder Singh, Sunny Gupta, Tariq Mahmood and Devinder Singh Bandral.
