Govt modifies holidays on account on Guru Arjun Dev Ji's Martyrdom Day, Guru Hargobind Ji's birthday

Srinagar, June 09: J&K Government on Sunday modified holiday(s) on account of Martyr’s Day of Guru Arjun Dev Ji and Birthday of Guru Hargobind Ji.

“In partial modification of Government Order No. 1582-JK(GAD) of 2024 dated 11.12.2024 and Government Order No. 1583-JK(GAD) of 2024 dated 11.12.2024, it is hereby ordered that:

Restricted holiday on account of Martyr’s Day of Guru Arjun Dev Ji shall be observed on 10^th June 2024 (Monday) instead of 16^th June, 2024 (Sunday), in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, and;

Also public holiday on account of Guru Hargobind Ji’s Birthday shall now be observed on 22^nd June, 2024 (Saturday) instead of 05^th July, 2024 (Friday), in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, an order issued stated.
