Nowshera, Oct 20: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, todasy said that the government is committed towards inclusive infra development.

Choudhary, who holds the charge of Public Works, Mining, Industries and Commerce, Labour and Employment, and Skill Development departments, inaugurated the newly constructed approach road to Chandi Mata Temple in Nowshera.

The road project, completed at an estimated cost of Rs 83.90 lakh, is expected to significantly ease the journey for devotees visiting the temple.

Addressing the gathering after inauguration, Surinder Choudhary expressed satisfaction over timely completion of the project while highlighting the importance of well-developed infrastructure for religious and cultural tourism. “The construction of this approach road will make it more convenient for pilgrims to visit the revered Chandi Mata Temple, which holds immense religious significance for the people of this region. We are committed towards ensuring all inclusive infrastructural development, particularly in rural and religiously important areas”, he maintained.

The Deputy CM added that development of such roads will not only provide better connectivity but promote tourism and enhance local economy. “By improving access to our heritage and religious sites, we can attract more visitors, which in turn benefits the local businesses and communities,” he remarked.

The Deputy CM further added that the newly inaugurated road is expected to accommodate a steady flow of pilgrims and visitors, especially during festival seasons when the footfall at the temple increases significantly.
