Govt College of Education Srinagar organises function

Srinagar, Dec 7: The Government College of Education (IASE) joined hands with Zeba Aapa, a Humanity Welfare Organisation based in Bijbehara, to commemorate the International Day on Persons with Disabilities.

The event, held at IASE, saw the active participation of Zeba Aapa students, who presented captivating cultural performances.

The Principal of the host college, Professor (Dr) Seema Naaz in her address underscored the importance of fostering an inclusive education system.

Dr. Naaz advocated for integrating specially-abled children into the mainstream, emphasizing their crucial role in societal progress.

Principal of Zeba Aapa organisation Adil Ahmad in his address shed light on the challenges faced by Children With Special Needs (CWSN) and their integral role in shaping a more inclusive society.

The audience gained valuable insights into the unique struggles faced by these children and the impact they can have when given the opportunity to contribute.

The cultural programs presented by IASE students added a vibrant touch to the event. The specially-abled children were treated to a variety of entertaining performances, creating an atmosphere of joy and inclusion.

Dr. Tabasum Maqbool, the program coordinator, received well-deserved praise for orchestrating a successful and meaningful celebration.

Javid Iqbal and Mudasir Kaboo, students of IASE, extended their thanks to the college administration and Zeba Aapa organization for organizing such a vital program.

They highlighted the significance of such events in making specially-abled children feel special and promoting their integration into mainstream society.
