Govt appoints Ravi Agrawal as Chairman CBDT

New Delhi, June 29: The government on Saturday appointed Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) member Ravi Agrawal as Chairman CBDT. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointment of CBDT member, Ravi Agrawal, IRS (IT: 88028), as Chairman CBDT with effect from July 1, 2024, upto the date of his superannuation on September 30, 2024, and thereafter his re-appointment on contract basis upto June 30, 2025, on usual terms and conditions applicable to re-employed central government officers in relaxation of the recruitment rules.
