Addressing a public gathering at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium at Sonwar during his third visit of this year, ahead of the second and third phase of assembly elections scheduled on September 25 and October 1 of 2024, the PM said three dynasties “divided” people to fulfil their “selfish political interests”.

“Your products will now reach big markets across the country at a lower cost. Increased connectivity will also benefit the tourism sector, and will result in the establishment of new factories and industries here,” he said.

PM Modi said that the helpless youth of the previous years are getting empowered under PM Modi’s rule (Ab Naujawan Majboor Nahi Hai, Woh Mazboot Ho Raha Hai Modi Rule Main).

“The youth no longer want to remain under the grip of these three dynasties (the NC, PDP, and Congress). Our youth are now challenging them. The same youth who were never allowed to progress have now stepped into politics against them,” he said.

The PM said that during the PDP, NC, or Congress regime, the Kashmiri youth suffered in many ways but their sufferings remained hidden.

“The youth in the age group of 20 to 30 years were left without education. It took them more time to even reach class 10th, 12th, or at the college level. This did not happen because J&K’s youth failed in any class but this was the failure of three families,” he said.

PM Modi said during the NC, PDP, and Congress regime, schools and colleges were burnt, and these political parties could not build new ones.

“Instead, the left-out schools and colleges remained shut, and education was halted for months. The youth were kept away from learning. But now, I will not let our young people be destroyed in their hands. Today, instead of stones, our children hold pens and notebooks,” he said.

The PM said that these people no longer hear news of schools being set on fire instead new schools are being built in J&K.

“I want our children to study more and become capable. In the last five years, 50,000 students dropped out. But Modi brought these children back to school. We have introduced pre-primary education in 15,000 schools. Additionally, 250 schools have been upgraded to PM Shri Schools,” he said.

PM Modi said that the youth of J&K are not helpless but are instead getting empowered under the Modi government (Ab Mere J&K Ka Naujawan Majboor Nahi Raha Woh Modi Sarkar Mei Mazboot Ho Raha Hai).

“The three dynasties did not let any new family come forward. They blocked Panchayat, and DDC elections for the same reason as they were afraid that new people would rise in politics and challenge their dynastic rule,” he said.

The PM said that the “selfishness” of the NC, PDP, and Congress resulted in the disbelief among youth in democracy.

“People felt that whether they voted or not, it would still be the same three dynasties ruling them. But youth have regained their faith in democracy as they believe that their vote is their right and that it can truly bring a positive change here,” he said.

PM Modi said that there were young people like Aijaz Hassan who were challenging these three families. “And when these people insult young leaders like Aijaz Hassan, it becomes clear how much these three families fear grassroots democracy,” he said urging people to vote for Aijaz Hussain who is contesting assembly polls from Lal Chowk constituency.
