GoI approves appointments of several Secretaries
Srinagar, Dec 25: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Department of Personnel and Training on Wednesday approved several appointments of the Secretary level officers.
As per the order issued, the ACC has approved the appointment of Rachna Shah Secretary, Ministry of Textiles as Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel Public Grievances and Pensions.
The ACC has also approved the appointment of Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers Arunish Chawla as Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.
"He will continue to hold the additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Culture till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders whichever is earlier," the order reads.
It reads that Vineet Joshi, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education.
The ACC has also approved the appointment of Sanjay Sethi, presently in the cadre, as Secretary, National Commission for Minorities, Ministry of Minority Affairs in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India vice Neelam Shammi Rao upon her appointment as Secretary, Ministry of Textiles.
"Neelam Shami Rao Secretary, National Commission for Minorities, Ministry of Minority Affairs has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Textiles," the order reads.
The ACC has also approved the appointment of Amit Agrawal Chief Executive Officer, Unique Identification Authority of India as Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers vice Arunish Chawla who has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.
Neerja Sekhar, Special Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has been appointed as Director General National Productivity Council, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India by temporarily upgrading the post.
