GOC-in-C reviews operational preparedness of Chinar Corps

Srinagar, Dec 31: Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Northern Command, visited the Chinar Corps headquarters in Srinagar to assess the operational preparedness of the formation.

During his visit, Lt Gen Suchindra Kumar reviewed the operational strategies and capabilities of the Chinar Corps, which plays a pivotal role in counter-terrorism operations and safeguarding the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir. He interacted with senior officers and troops, gaining firsthand insight into the measures being undertaken to ensure seamless coordination and operational efficiency.

The Army Commander complimented the officers and all ranks for their professionalism and dedication, particularly in the successful conduct of counter-terrorism operations. Over the past months, the Chinar Corps has been instrumental in neutralizing multiple threats, dismantling terror modules, and preventing infiltration attempts along the LoC.

In his address, Lt Gen Kumar emphasised the importance of maintaining high standards of professionalism and vigilance in the execution of operations. He exhorted all ranks to remain steadfast and committed in their duties, stressing the need for proactive measures to tackle emerging security challenges in Kashmir.

The Army Commander also lauded the synergy and cooperation between the Army, civil administration, and other security forces operating in the Valley. He reiterated the importance of ensuring the safety and security of the local population while executing operations with precision and restraint.
