GOC 15 Corps reviews security situation in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 2: The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Srinagar-based 15 Corps, Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai conducted an extensive review of the security situation in north Kashmir.

The visit included inspections of forward posts of the Vajr and Dagger Divisions in Kupwara and Baramulla districts, areas critical to maintaining stability along the Line of Control (LoC).

The Corps Commander, accompanied by senior Army officials, assessed the preparedness of the troops stationed at these strategic locations.

The visit underscored the Army’s commitment to ensuring a robust defence posture and its readiness to counter any potential threats along the LC.

The Commander also commended the soldiers for their unwavering dedication and resilience in the face of challenging conditions.

“The security environment along the LC requires constant vigilance and swift action. Our troops must be prepared to counter any adversarial activities effectively,” the Corps Commander said, reinforcing the Army's stance on maintaining peace and security in the region.

The review covered various aspects of operational preparedness, including the effectiveness of surveillance systems, logistics, and the overall morale of the troops.

The Corps Commander was briefed on the current security dynamics and the measures in place to thwart any potential infiltrations or hostile actions.
