GOC 15 Corps reviews security situation in Gurez

Srinagar, Sep 10: General Officer Commanding (GOC) 15 Corps, Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai Tuesday visited forward areas in the Gurez sector of Bandipora district in north Kashmir.

The visit was aimed at reviewing the overall security situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and assessing the operational readiness of the troops stationed at this high altitude.

The Gurez sector, located in north Kashmir, holds immense strategic value due to its proximity to the LoC.

The sector has witnessed several infiltration attempts in the past, making it a focal point for security operations.

During his visit, the GOC 15 Corps, accompanied by senior officers, interacted with the troops deployed at various forward locations.

He lauded their unwavering commitment and professionalism, acknowledging the challenges they face in such difficult terrain and harsh weather conditions.

Addressing the soldiers, the GOC 15 Corps stressed the need for preparedness to deal with any kind of hostile activity.

He urged them to remain alert and ensure that all inimical activities along the LoC are met with a decisive and fitting response.
