Srinagar, Nov 21: General Officer Commanding (GoC) 15 Corps, Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai Tuesday inaugurated a vegetarian eatery at the Line of Control (LoC) in Teetwal.

A statement of the Army issued here said that Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai visited the Crossing Point at LoC in Teetwal and opened to the public a vegetarian eatery meant for vegetarian food lovers who throng the Sharda Temple and other places around Teetwal.

GoC 28 Infantry KupwaraGirishKalia, 104 Brigade Commander Kumara Das, and locals were also present on the occasion. A 104-foot-high tricolour was also erected and unfurled on the LoC.

ShardaYatra Construction Committee member Ajaz Khan was also present on the occasion. Head and founder of Save Sharda Committee, RavinderPandita thanked the Army for setting up the vegetarian eatery.

“This will not only cater to yatris of Sharda temple but also the locals in general,” Pandita said.

A colourful event marked the event and the Tiranga cricket tournament was also started at Shan-e-Teetwal cricket ground.
