GMC Srinagar holds medical conference
Srinagar, Sep 08: The Jammu and Kashmir branch of IADVL in association with the department of Dermatology, Venereology GMC Srinagar held the 5th annual conference of IADVL, "Cuticon J&K 2024" on September 7-8 at SKICC, Srinagar with participation of over 150 delegates.
The faculty included both from the UT of J&K and premier institutions of India with scientific programme under the theme, "Scientific Strategies and Emerging Trends in Dermatology," that was reflected in the engaging sessions and discussions taking place over the two days.
The event was dedicated to the memory of late Prof Qazi Masood Ahmad, who recently passed away.
The inauguration ceremony held on the first day was attended among others by National IADVL President Prof Manjunath Shenoy (virtually), Prof GH Hajni, founding head of Department of Dermatology, GMC Srinagar, Prof Bhumesh Kumar Katakam, Secretary General of IADVL, Prof Iffat Hassan, Principal/Dean GMC Srinagar and patron among others.
The conference featured three IADVL Academy SIG sessions on NTD, Trichology & Dermoscopy, hands-on workshop on botox , fillers and thread lifts. Award paper session with 8 entries, free paper session with 14 entries, and 48 e-posters were displayed along with the postgraduate quiz. The conference was held successfully and concluded with a felicitation ceremony, honouring the guests, faculty, and participants.
