GMC Baramulla wins Corporate Cup

Srinagar, Dec 7: The grand finale of the 3rd Edition of the Corporate Cup wrapped up excitingly with a showdown between Team Election and Team GMC Baramulla. Team Election won the toss and chose to bat first, establishing a challenging target of 141 runs.

Team GMC Baramulla, under the captaincy of Dr Mudasir Hassan, showed remarkable composure and skill as they successfully chased down the target in the 17th over. The key to their victory was the performance of Amir Bukhari, who played a match-winning knock of 49 runs. Asif Mir also played a crucial role, scoring 45 runs and anchoring the chase.

The grand finale was attended by Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa.  Dr (Prof) Majid Jahangir, Principal, GMC Baramulla, also expressed his appreciation for the team's success.

Several players were honoured for their contributions. Sajad Majeed received the Game Changer Award for his all-round performance. Asif Sofi was awarded the Super Sixes Award for hitting the maximum number of sixes during the chase.

Dr Mudasir Hassan, Captain of Team GMC Baramulla, expressed his gratitude to the District Administration and Baramulla Cricket Forum for organising the tournament.
