Global leaders to attend India–AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi
New Delhi, Feb 13: India will host the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi from February 16 to 20, bringing together world leaders, policymakers and technology experts to deliberate on the future of artificial intelligence. The summit is anchored in three guiding principles: People, Planet and Progress, which define India’s approach to international cooperation in the AI domain. The event aims to foster dialogue on responsible innovation, inclusive growth, and sustainable technological advancement.
At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several heads of state and government are scheduled to participate. These include Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay of Bhutan; Vice President Edmand Lara Montano of Bolivia; President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil; Prime Minister Andrej Plenković of Croatia; President Alar Karis of Estonia; Prime Minister Petteri Orpo of Finland; and President Emmanuel Macron of France.
Also expected are Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of Greece; Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo of Guyana; Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov of Kazakhstan; Hereditary Prince Alois, Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein; Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam of Mauritius; President Aleksandar Vučić of Serbia; President Peter Pellegrini of Slovakia; and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez of Spain.
The list also includes President Anura Kumara Dissanayake of Sri Lanka; Vice President Sebastien Pillay of Seychelles; President Guy Parmelin of Switzerland; Prime Minister Dick Schoof of the Netherlands; and Crown Prince Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates.
In addition to the attending leaders, ministerial delegations from more than 45 countries are expected to participate. The United Nations Secretary-General and senior officials from several international organisations will also join the deliberations. The summit is expected to serve as a key platform for shaping global cooperation on artificial intelligence while reinforcing India’s emerging leadership role in the sector.
So far, over 35,000 participants have registered, with representation expected from more than 100 countries and over 500 startups. The summit will host more than 500 sessions, alongside an AI Impact Expo featuring over 300 exhibitors from around 30 countries across multiple thematic pavilions. In the run-up to the event, Indian Missions and Posts have organised over 80 outreach events worldwide.
