Girl mauled to death by dogs at Thanamandi

Rajouri, Jan 15: A five-year-old girl from Upper Shahdra area of Rajouri district was mauled to death  by a pack of dogs.

The deceased identified as Samreen Kouser  daughter of Mohammad Shafayet a resident of Shahdra - B panchayat of Thanamandi sub division.

The victim and some other children of the area were reportedly returning from their school when a pack  of dogs attacked them. "Other children managed to escape but she was mauled by dogs," the officials stated.

They added that villagers rushed to the spot and  rescued her. She was removed to sub district hospital Thanamandi. However, doctors declared her brought dead.
