Ghulam Hassan Sheikh assumes charge as Secretary JKBOSE
Srinagar, Mar 4: Ghulam Hassan Sheikh on Tuesday assumed charge as Secretary J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE).
After assuming the charge, the Secretary Board convened an introductory meeting with senior officers.
During the meeting, he took stock of the urgent issues that required immediate attention.
During the meeting, it was informed that class 11th and 12th examinations were going on in hard and soft zone areas across Jammu and Kashmir.
“Secretary urged all the officers and officials to maintain a strict vigil on the performance of the examination centres and the facilities provided to the students therein. A positive and compassionate approach towards the students will facilitate and enhance their performance,” the Secretary said as per the JKBOSE handout.
The Secretary also convened an online meeting of all the officers of sub-offices and branch offices of the J&K BOSE and directed them to put in all efforts in maintaining the integrity of the examinations.
Later, he also held a virtual interaction with all the Chief Education Officers of all districts and sought their cooperation and collaborative efforts in ensuring smooth and transparent conduct of examinations.
He also visited various sections of the Divisional Office, Jammu, including the evaluation halls.
During his interaction with the staff and examiners, he said that as assessment of students’ performance forms a critical step in their academic career and utmost care and caution are required while evaluating their answer sheets.
