GHSS Handwara students stage protest over missing exam results

Kupwara, Sep 27: Several students from Government Model Girls Higher Secondary School, Handwara, on Friday staged a protest in Handwara to express their anguish over discrepancies in their backlog examination results.

The protesting students said that a few months ago they appeared in the examination, but once the result was declared a few days ago, the JKBOSE website displayed ‘no record found’ when they checked their results.

“We appeared in the exams with full preparation, but when we checked our results, it showed ‘no record found.’ This is extremely unfair,” said one of the protesting students, belonging to the 2024 backlog batch of class 11th.

“The 2025 backlog batch has already submitted their forms for class 12th, but we are stuck because our results are not reflected online. Why should we suffer due to technical or administrative errors?” another student said.

“If our issue is not resolved immediately, we may lose an entire academic year, which can impact our future,” she said.

They sought immediate intervention of Education Minister Sakina Itoo and the Director of School Education in this regard so that they are able to submit their forms for class 12th.
